Reiki + Sound Bath
At Pulse Counseling & Wellness Center, we are proud to have introduced the Quad Cities’ original integrated Reiki + Sound Bath experience, offering a uniquely nurturing space for deep relaxation, emotional release, and trauma-informed healing. Our community sessions provide a nurturing space where individuals can connect with others on similar healing journeys, fostering connection and shared healing. By combining these modalities, we enhance the healing experience, promoting deep relaxation, emotional release, and trauma recovery. Join us in this transformative experience and be part of a supportive network dedicated to wellness and personal growth.
Reiki + Sound Bath is a holistic healing practice that combines the ancient Japanese technique of Reiki with the therapeutic vibrations of sound healing. This unique blend channels universal life energy and utilizes sound waves to restore balance, promote relaxation, and enhance overall well-being. In a serene environment, our skilled practitioners guide participants through a harmonious integration of Reiki energy work and therapeutic sound vibrations.
Benefits:
Stress Reduction and Relaxation
Emotional Healing
Pain Management
Spiritual Growth
Improved Sleep and Immunity
Experience: During a session, participants typically lie down or sit comfortably while the practitioner plays sound healing instruments like singing bowls, gongs, or chimes. Simultaneously, Reiki energy is channeled through gentle touch or near-body techniques. Clients often report feeling deeply relaxed, rejuvenated, and experiencing emotional release and clarity.
Reiki Mentee Pay-What-You-Can Clinic
The Reiki Mentee Clinic at Pulse Counseling & Wellness Center PLLC is a first-of-its-kind offering in our community, designed not because it’s required, but because we believe healing is better when practitioners learn and grow in connection, not in isolation.
At Pulse, we’ve partnered with Reiki Master Sarah Skiles of Uplifted Energies to create a Reiki Mentee Pay‑What‑You‑Can Clinic that is intentionally relational, supported, and community-centered.
Instead of sending new Reiki practitioners out on their own, this program invites Reiki mentees (certified Reiki Level 2 practitioners) to practice inside a trauma‑informed counseling and wellness center, with real-time support and connection. It’s not required for their certification, it's an extra layer of care we chose to offer so that both clients and practitioners feel more held, less alone, and more supported in the work.
Mentored, community‑based practice
Mentees practice under the ongoing mentorship of Reiki Master Sarah Skiles while being welcomed into Pulse’s team culture and safety structure. Sessions are shaped by both energetic training and the grounding of a mental health environment.
Not just a session—an ecosystem of support
Clients are held by a wider system: the mentee, their Reiki mentor, and the Pulse environment. This reduces practitioner isolation and offers clients an experience that is integrated, thoughtful, and responsive to nervous system needs.
Pay‑What‑You‑Can access
The clinic uses a Pay‑What‑You‑Can model so finances are less of a barrier. You’re invited to contribute at a level that feels doable. This makes Reiki more accessible to folks who are already investing in therapy, parenting, schooling, recovery, or just surviving.
30–60 minute Reiki session with a certified Reiki practitioner
You remain fully clothed, on a massage table or seated in a chair
Gentle, light touch or hands slightly above the body—always with your consent
Space for quiet, grounding, and nervous system regulation
Clear explanation of what Reiki is (and isn’t), plus time for questions
Freedom to ask for changes, pause, or end the session at any time
Reiki is a complementary wellness practice. It does not replace medical care or psychotherapy, but it can:
Support stress, burnout, and emotional overwhelm
Offer a calm landing place between therapy sessions
Help you reconnect with your body in small, manageable ways
Offer gentle support alongside trauma recovery and other healing work
Our clinicians and Reiki team are in communication about how this clinic can best support our clients and community, while honoring boundaries and confidentiality.
This clinic may be a good fit if you:
Are curious about energy work but want it in a grounded, ethics‑driven setting
Are already doing therapy and want additional nervous system support
Are in recovery, caregiving, or activism and need structured rest
Want to support the next generation of practitioners growing in a supervised, connected way
