Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois and a Temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor (tLMHC) in Iowa who is passionate about helping individuals aged 6 and older navigate life's challenges with confidence, resilience, and hope. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Illinois University and has experience providing therapy in community mental health, private practice, and school-based settings.
Jessica believes that healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. She strives to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual's unique needs, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all path to growth.
Drawing from evidence-based practices, Jessica integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, trauma-informed care, expressive arts therapy, and sound-based relaxation techniques to help clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. She believes that healing can happen in many ways and enjoys incorporating creative and experiential approaches when they align with a client's goals and preferences. When working with children, she also utilizes play-based interventions to foster emotional expression, build confidence, and support healthy development in an engaging and age-appropriate way.
Jessica enjoys working with individuals and families across the lifespan, supporting them through life's challenges while fostering resilience, stronger relationships, and emotional well-being. Whether clients are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress, or other emotional or behavioral challenges, her goal is to empower them with the insight and skills to create a life that feels authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.
*Jessica offers clinical mental health counseling services at Pulse under the supervision of an independently licensed clinician.
